With Herb, woodturning is a hobby. He participates in his local woodturning club, reads the various magazines relating to the hobby, and keeps track of his friends’ web pages and projects. As you look through the various items that he has produced, you will see that variety and challenge are what motivates him to keep the lathe running. This is not a business, this is a hobby and when you turn on the machines the excitement often comes from seeing something new, something you haven't attempted before. At least, that's the way it is for Herb.
