068-15 & 074-15 Miniature Bowls $30 & $40
These little bowls are turned from a piece of African Ebony. The light colour, which provides the interesting patterns is the outer, sapwood part of the small log/branch. The black is the heartwood. These colours are natural, and this wood is very hard and dense. The branch came from Kenya. The small bowl is 2" x 2" diameter (5.5 x 5.5 cm); the other 2.5" x 3.5" diameter (6 x 9 cm).
077-15 Wide Rim Bowl $60
The beautiful piece of Walnut from which this bowl was turned has been enhanced by the tapered design of the form, the textured surface of the wide rim, and the beautiful smooth semigloss finish. It may be used as a display bowl for fruit or for serving nuts,candies, chips, etc. It is 2" x 9.5" diameter (5 x 24 cm).
049-15 Wool Bowl $35 SOLD
Turned from spalted Maple, the form of this Bowl is designed to follow the natural curvature of a ball of wool. This in turn allows the wool to feed smoothly through the hole to the knitter. The size is 3.5" x 6 " diameter (9 x 15 cm) which will accomodate a 5" ball of wool.
029-15 Nut/Candy Bowl $40 SOLD
This bowl was turned from a small piece of stained and spalted Manitoba Maple. The grey/blue spalt lines and the reddish stain occur naturally in this wood. The bowl size is suited for serving small items such as nuts and candy. It is 3.75" x 5" diameter (9.5 x 12.5 cm).
017-15 Hor d'Oeuvre Bowl $50 SOLD
Turned from a nice piece of Mahogany and enhanced with pyrographed tree patterns, this bowl works well for holding and displaying fruit. It could also be used to serve candy, nuts, and other types of dry hor d'Oeuvres. The size is 2.5" x 8.5" diameter (6.5 x 21.5 cm).

The wonderful piece of Maple from which this bowl was turned, with its curly grain patterns and the contrast between the pale beige sapwood and the brown heartwood, highlight nicely the design and form of this bowl. The undercut rim adds an important design feature to the overall shape. The size is 3" x 7.75" diameter (7.5 x 20 cm).
048-15 Wool Bowl $45 SOLD
Turned from Manitoba Maple, this Bowl has natural red and ambrosia stains as well as unusual grain patterns all of which enhance the natural uneven edge. The bowl will accomodate a 7" (18 cm) ball of wool and feed the strand smoothly and evenly through the slot to the knitter. The overall size is 4.75" x 7" diameter(12 x 18 cm).
